In addition, they can also affect the anesthetic. The candidates should also avoid all aspirin-based medication including Neurofen, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc. That’s because they can result in unnecessary bleeding and undesirable side effects and complications during and after the procedure.
Before the procedure starts, the doctor applies local anesthesia around the treatment area to create a numbing effect on the patient’s skin. Patients can also choose to be sedated for better comfort. Next, based on the thread type being used in the procedure and the desired results to be achieved, they insert a long cannula or a needle syringe that holds the threads into the targeted area, reaching the underlying layer of fat.
