Korean Double Eyelid Surgery in Singapore

A defined eyelid crease can be created using different surgical techniques. During consultation, the surgeon will assess your eyelid structure and advise on suitable options based on your anatomy and concerns.

Two Approaches to Double Eyelid Surgery

We offer both non-incisional and incisional techniques.

The non-incisional method uses sutures to form a crease without making external cuts.
The incisional method involves a small incision along the eyelid to allow direct adjustment of underlying structures.

The appropriate approach depends on factors such as skin thickness, presence of excess skin or fat, and eyelid muscle function. A detailed assessment will be performed during consultation.

Non-Incisional Method

Dual Burial Suture Technique

This method uses sutures placed within the eyelid to form a crease without external incisions.

  • No external cuts
  • No stitch removal required
  • Shorter recovery period
  • May be suitable for eyelids without significant excess skin or fat

Incisional Method

Micro-Incision Technique

This method involves a small incision along the eyelid crease to allow direct access to underlying structures.

  • Allows removal or repositioning of excess fat or skin where appropriate
  • Suitable for a wider range of eyelid types
  • Crease formation is achieved through structural adjustment of eyelid tissues
  • Stitch removal is required

This approach may be considered in cases of eyelid laxity or drooping, depending on assessment.

Quick Comparison

Choose Your Eyelid Fold Style

There are several eyelid fold styles. Suitability depends on individual eyelid anatomy and facial proportions.

Tapered Fold

The crease begins closer to the inner corner of the eye and gradually widens outward. This fold pattern is commonly seen in East Asian eyelids.

Parallel Fold

The crease runs parallel to the lash line across the eyelid.

Low Fold

A subtle crease positioned closer to the lash line.

High Fold

A more defined crease positioned higher above the lash line.
